Russian intransigence has exhausted the president's patience, who is now willing to support Ukraine in its battle to recover the lost territories
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Tuesday that Ukraine can win the war against Russia if it has Europe's support, an outcome that could end with Kyiv regaining all its territories.
"With time, patience, and Europe's financial support, particularly from NATO, regaining the original borders from where this war began is a viable option. Why not? Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years in a war that a true military power should have won in less than a week," the president posted on Truth Social.
The American leader anticipated that now is the time for Kyiv to act, assuring that the country "could regain its territory to its original form and go beyond that." He also described the Russian military's performance as that of "a paper tiger" and emphasized "that he will continue supplying weapons to NATO."

Putin chooses war over peace
The presidential message was released after Trump held a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, during the United Nations General Assembly event held in New York. After meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, the Republican leader spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron.
In that meeting, Trump stated that he hopes Ukraine "regains its land" and was candid about his efforts to end the war. "I thought it would be easier because of my relationship with Putin, but unfortunately, that relationship meant nothing," the magnate acknowledged.
Since returning to the White House, Trump set a goal to achieve peace in Ukraine and even received in Alaska a Russian delegation led by Putin last August. Meanwhile, the Kremlin leader has shown little interest in a ceasefire, intensifying his attacks on Kyiv with hundreds of drones and missiles.
"If we fully support Ukraine, considering that the Russian economy is suffering, there is that possibility of a good future," Macron emphasized in his meeting with Trump, in a stance that Washington now seems to share with European leaders.
