The president delivered a speech in which he explained his vision of the world to the other countries and highlighted the mistakes of left-wing governments
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Tuesday called on member states in his speech before the 80th United Nations General Assembly to adopt stricter border control policies and abandon green energy "to become great again."
"Immigration and the high cost of so-called renewable green energy are destroying a large part of the free world and a large part of our planet. Countries that value freedom are rapidly disappearing because of their policies on these two issues. They need strong borders and traditional energy sources if they want to become great again," he warned.
Trump said that other nations should imitate his policies and seek to protect freedom of speech and religious freedom. "Let us defend freedom of speech and thought, let us protect religious freedom, including the most persecuted religion on the planet today. It's called Christianity," he stated.

The President ridiculed the UN in his speech, stating that the international organization never contacted him while his administration was working to end the wars between Cambodia and Thailand and between Pakistan and India, military conflicts that broke out this year.
Trump also joked that the escalator in the UN building in New York stopped working as he was entering and that the teleprompter failed at the beginning of his speech. "These are the two things I got from the United Nations: a faulty escalator and a teleprompter that didn't work," he concluded.

Trump denounces technical failures on his social media
After finishing his speech, Trump described on his social media as "an honor" to address the United Nations, although he highlighted the technical failures that shouldn't happen at a global event of such magnitude.
“The teleprompter was broken and the escalator suddenly stopped as we were going up to the podium, but both events probably made the speech more interesting than it would've been otherwise. It's always an honor to speak at the United Nations, even if their equipment is somewhat faulty”, the president wrote.
Trump was accompanied on his trip to New York by senior officials from his administration, including the head of U.S. diplomacy, Marco Rubio, the ambassador to the UN, Mike Walz, and the Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent.
