Public TV vs Telefe: they report plagiarism for a segment in the newscast
Karen Reichardt will sue Telefe for plagiarizing her show. She says the channel copied the name and the entire concept
A host from TV Pública announced that she will take Telefe to court for the alleged plagiarism of the name and concept of her show.
The complaint targets a segment of the news program hosted by Rodolfo Barili, which allegedly has great similarities with her show Amores Perros.

What is the host claiming?
According to journalist Santiago Riva Roy, Karen Reichardt claims that Telefe copied the name and content of her show to include it in a section of Barili's news program.
The host considers it to be a direct replica of her proposal, which caused her indignation. “It's absolutely a copy,” she declared.
Karen Reichardt's reaction
Reichardt not only expressed her annoyance but also initiated a legal consultation with lawyers to evaluate a formal lawsuit. She asserts that her show is legally registered, both in name and concept.
Una conductora de la TV Pública denuncia a Telefe por plagio de su programa
According to sources from the state channel, last Friday the host made a strong internal complaint after seeing the segment on Telefe. “She couldn't believe what her eyes were seeing,” the journalist reported.
What is the show in dispute?
Amores Perros is a program broadcast by TV Pública since April 12. It is dedicated to stories that connect people with their pets and is hosted by Karen Reichardt.

It airs every Saturday from 1 to 3 PM. Its proposal revolves around the emotional bond with animals, responsible adoption, and animal welfare.
What is known about Telefe's segment?
Telefe's news program, hosted by Rodolfo Barili, recently incorporated a segment with the same name: Amores Perros. The similarity in approach is said to have been the trigger for the conflict.
Reichardt believes it is not a coincidence and that the channel should respond legally for the improper use of an already registered trademark.
