Two Peruvian criminals were arrested in Barracas for child sexual abuse and robbery
Both foreign criminals were placed at the disposal of the justice system and will be deported
The Buenos Aires City Police arrested two Peruvian criminals who had international arrest warrants while they were walking through the Barracas neighborhood. Both are charged with serious crimes committed in their country: sexual abuse of minors and robbery.
According to authorities, the first suspect, 37 years old, was detained after being intercepted by agents from the Rapid Intervention Deployment (DIR) at the corner of Vélez Sarsfield Avenue and California Street.
The criminal tried to quickly walk away upon noticing the presence of the uniformed officers. At the time of his arrest, the police entered his information into the Federal Police Communications System (SIFCOP) and confirmed that he had an international arrest warrant with an Interpol red notice, requested by the Peruvian justice system for a case of aggravated robbery.
Additionally, during the search, cocaine was seized from him. For this reason, he was also placed at the disposal of the Southern Area Flagrancy Unit for the crime of drug possession.

After establishing contact with the international organization, it was confirmed that the arrest warrant remained in effect. For this reason, the suspect was arrested and placed at the disposal of Federal Criminal Court No. 6.
According to authorities, the second procedure took place at 1600 Luna Street, when officers from Neighborhood Police Station 4D were conducting preventive control tasks. At that time, they detected a 38-year-old man who tried to change his route upon noticing the police presence.
When identified, it was confirmed that he had an active international arrest warrant for sexual abuse of minors, issued by the Second Permanent Criminal Appeals Chamber of San Juan de Lurigancho Este, in Peru.
Given this situation, National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 6, under the direction of Judge Dr. Sáenz, ordered his immediate detention and the transfer of the accused.
Both criminals remain at the disposal of the justice system, awaiting decisions regarding their legal status and a possible extradition process to their country of origin.
