Union leader Marcelo Peretta assaulted Eduardo Feinmann outside Radio Mitre
The assailant is the secretary general of the Argentine Union of Pharmacists and Biochemists
On Thursday morning, after finishing his participation in the program he hosts on Radio Mitre, journalist Eduardo Feinmann was assaulted by Marcelo Peretta, candidate for deputy and general secretary of the Argentine Union of Pharmacists and Biochemists.
Additionally, according to footage from security cameras that recorded the incident, the union leader also assaulted a City Police officer who tried to calm the situation.
“He has a public record of violence, as in 2022 he attacked a lawyer at the Ministry of Labor. A shameful, unacceptable, and condemnable act”, stated Marcelo Bonelli on his program Nuestra Mañana, on Radio Mitre.

Eduardo Feinmann described the assault
Minutes after the incident, Feinmann called the station to recount what happened: “I was assaulted by this violent man, one of those typical figures of coercive, extortionist, and violent unionism that has kept the Argentine Republic in this state for years”.
According to his account, upon leaving Alguien tiene que decirlo, he saw Peretta quickly approaching him: “He tells me his son is there, and the son is filming his father, what a shame”. In the released footage, the union leader, dressed in a red jacket, can be seen approaching the journalist.
Feinmann added that he was not alone: “With another man from the union, who was also waiting for me at the door, wearing a light blue sweatjersey, who also ended up filming me and being Peretta's accomplice. Three of them came to intimidate me, it was an ambush”.
“He reproached me for things and comments I had made about him. This despicable person ran as a candidate in Buenos Aires City to be a legislator, but he did not get in. Now he had put together a list with Jorgito Porcel, who ended up resigning”, Feinmann said, referring to his assailant's political career.

The journalist added: “This guy became known on Mauro Viale's program, who brought him on as if he were the great union leader of the Argentine Republic. A guy who had a fundraiser and, at that time, defended Alberto Fernández. In 2021 he switched to PRO, I do not know if he still answers to Patricia Bullrich”.
Regarding the attack, Feinmann detailed that everything happened when he got out of his car: “He pushed the police officer and kicked me in the waist, then he kicked my car and dented it. This is part of this violent and backward unionism that Argentines do not want anymore”.
“I got in my car a couple of times to leave but the guy kept assaulting me and called me "coward, get out." I am not a coward. Obviously, the complaint has already been filed, tomorrow I will expand it and I will pursue it to the fullest extent. People like these need to be in prison”, the journalist stated.
He then added: “I am fine, without any problem. Neither my body nor the damage to my car hurts. I am going to file a complaint for injuries and damages, and I will go all the way until this guy goes to prison."
"Although I do not think so because he has significant political protection. He also has several serious corruption issues in the union. The guy is also a politician and runs for office", Feinmann concluded.
