The United Kingdom appointed a new illegitimate usurper governor of the Malvinas Islands.
With this measure, the British aim to strengthen their occupation in the South Atlantic
On Tuesday, July 29, the United Kingdom carried out a new action related to its illegitimate occupation of the Malvinas Islands, with the official inauguration of the new British governor appointed for that Argentine territory, currently under usurpation.
This is Colin Martin-Reynolds, who was sworn in at the headquarters of the so-called "Executive Council" locally, accompanied by British authorities and members of the resident community on the islands.

Martin-Reynolds was appointed as governor of the Malvinas Islands and also as "Her Majesty's Commissioner" for South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, territories that, according to international law and the Argentine Constitution, are an integral part of the province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica, and South Atlantic Islands.
In the past, the illegal British representative served in United Kingdom embassies in countries such as Colombia, Brazil, and the United States, and was also director of the Covid-19 Research Unit at the United Kingdom's Foreign Office. In addition, he is a notable activist in the LGBT community.

During the official ceremony, the president of the local Legislative Assembly, Mark Pollard, welcomed the British official and praised his "experience in diplomacy and leadership." He also expressed the intention to "continue strengthening ties with the United Kingdom."
It is important to note that the Argentine State firmly rejects the presence of British authorities in the Malvinas Islands, since this situation violates international law and contradicts numerous United Nations resolutions that call on the United Kingdom to resume dialogue on the sovereignty dispute.
The appointment of the new illegal governor is part of a maneuver by the United Kingdom aimed at consolidating its occupation in the South Atlantic, in an attitude that ignores Argentina's legitimate sovereign rights over that territory, usurped by force since 1833.
