According to reports from The Wall Street Journal, the United States government will provide military intelligence to Zelensky's government
The United States government has approved the provision of military intelligence to Ukraine intended to support long-range missile attacks against energy infrastructure on Russian territory, according to The Wall Street Journal this Wednesday, citing U.S. officials.
This decision marks a significant shift in Washington's stance and comes at a time when the delivery of weapons capable of expanding the range of Ukrainian targets is also being considered, after Trump decided to distance himself from Putin for refusing to sign a peace agreement.
According to the outlet, this assistance would include detailed information to facilitate more precise attacks on key facilities for Russia's energy supply, in an attempt to weaken its military and economic capacity. Additionally, the United States is reportedly asking its NATO allies to provide similar support, which suggests a broader coordinated effort within the Western bloc.

The approval to share this additional intelligence reportedly came shortly before a public statement by President Donald Trump, who expressed a significant change in his stance regarding the conflict. In a post on Truth Social last week, Trump stated that Ukraine could recover all its territory occupied by Russia with the support of the European Union.
"After seeing the economic problems the war is causing in Russia, I believe that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and win back all of Ukraine in its original form," Trump wrote last Tuesday, shortly after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Although various sources have not been able to independently verify the Wall Street Journal report, the information coincides with recent signs of a hardening of the U.S. stance toward Russia, as well as with pressure within Congress to accelerate military aid to Ukraine.
If confirmed, this new stage of cooperation would imply a greater indirect involvement of the United States in offensive operations within Russian territory, something Washington had avoided until now for fear of a possible escalation of the conflict. However, growing pressure to change the balance of power on the ground appears to be pushing the West to take more aggressive measures.
