Burnham confronted Javier Milei over his diplomatic offensive regarding the Falkland Islands and, at the same time, deepened his criticisms against Israel, creating a new point of tension with Donald Trump
The global geopolitics is witnessing a historic reconfiguration led by common sense, capitalism, and sovereignty. In this new power map, the relationship between United States and the United Kingdom is going through its worst historical moment. The reason is the disastrous diplomacy of the British Labour government led by Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who in a suicidal maneuver has decided to attack simultaneously Argentina under Javier Milei and the State of Israel led by Benjamin Netanyahu, unleashing the fury of a Donald Trump determined to defend his strategic partners.
The tension exploded when the British Foreign Secretary, the Labour Ed Miliband, shamefully announced the "ban on the import of goods" from Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria, falsely accusing the Israeli government of endorsing a "ethnic cleansing" and threatening collaborating companies with "the full weight of sanctions". This antisemitic boycott was joined by another 11 social-democratic governments.

The response from Israel was immediate, patriotic, and humiliating for London. The Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, destroyed the accusations calling them "outrageous lies" and "flagrant interference in the affairs of a sovereign state". As retaliation, Netanyahu ordered the closure of the British consulate in Jerusalem
This expelled UK representatives from peace supervision in Gaza and banned entry to 12 British pro-Hamas and leftist citizens, including lawmakers Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott. Minister Bezalel Smotrich directly demanded the expulsion of the British ambassador.
From Washington, Secretary of State Marco Rubio made it clear: "Obviously, we are not going to do what the United Kingdom did". Meanwhile, Ambassador Mike Huckabee warned on the BBC that British measures would have a "huge economic impact" due to imminent U.S. financial reprisals.

At the same time, President Javier Milei has taken advantage of the weakness of British Labour to suffocate the usurpation of the Falkland Islands, forcefully colonized in 1833. The conflict escalated with the imminent start of the illegal Sea Lion project —belonging to the Israeli Navitas Petroleum (65%) and the British Rockhopper Exploration (35%)—, which plans an investment of US$ 2.2 billion and an extraction of 50,000 barrels daily by 2028.
To defend the homeland, Javier Milei announced on national television the tightening of Law 26.659 through Decree 868/2026. The regulation commercially disqualifies any company that assists in the pirate looting and forces them to choose: "they will have to choose between an illegal bet in a disputed territory and a profitable and safe operation in a sovereign country with clear rules and predictability".

This counteroffensive has the backing of the powers of the free world. Donald Trump warned the Labour Prime Minister of an imminent trade war and suggested that the U.S. would reevaluate its historical neutrality over the islands.
Adding to this was a geopolitical bombshell: the Israeli Defense Minister himself broke ranks and declared that "it is time for the State of Israel to publicly recognize that the Falkland Islands are Argentine territory occupied, which the British violently steal from the Argentine people... they are drilling for oil there and stealing the money", calling on Netanyahu to impose sanctions on Great Britain.
The siege by Javier Milei has destroyed the financial viability of the usurpation. By blocking access to the colossal wealth of Vaca Muerta and the benefits of RIGI, the Government of Freedom forced the unconditional capitulation of the three largest oil service companies in the world: SLB (valued at USD 85 billion), Baker Hughes (valued at USD 63 billion and with 32 active platforms in the country) and Halliburton (with USD 33 billion in capitalization and under the signature of its historic CEO Richard Cheney).

The three giants fled the Falklands to save their operations in Argentina. As Daniel Dreizzen stated, Sea Lion amounts to just 1% of Vaca Muerta; risking the Argentine market for a progressive colonial adventure is financial suicide.
As a direct result of this suffocation, shares of Navitas Petroleum plummeted -2.97% and those of Rockhopper Exploration fell a catastrophic -5.59% on the London Stock Exchange. Likewise, the Office of the President announced the initiation of proceedings against 15 new subjects, raising to 60 the number of individuals and companies under sanction process for violating the sovereignty of the South Atlantic. The lie of the progressive "right to self-determination" put forth by British Defense Secretary Wes Streeting has collided head-on with the weight of the law, the free market, and the indestructible global alliance of freedom.
