The 61-year-old veterinarian was caught with cocaine and marijuana; the justice system is investigating his distribution network

A renowned veterinarian from Villa Cerro Azul was arrested following an operation by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force. According to the case, during the day he treated animals and at night he was involved in drug dealing. The investigation revealed that he even gave drugs to teenagers in the area.

The operation was carried out at a house on Mendoza Street s/n, in the mountain town of Colón Department. Officers seized 166 doses of marijuana, eight of cocaine, and 30 cannabis sativa seeds. They also found a motorcycle and items used for portioning.

Official sources confirmed that the detainee was a well-known veterinarian in the community. However, he was carrying out criminal activities behind his patients' backs. The fact that he supplied drugs to minors worsened the legal situation against him.

A case that shocks the interior of Córdoba

The investigation was coordinated by the Narcotics Prosecutor's Office based in Jesús María. After the raid, the man was taken to the judicial headquarters along with all the seized material. He now faces charges for violating National Narcotics Law 23,737.

Investigators are working to determine the extent of the distribution network and its possible connections in the region. The supply of narcotics to minors is considered a key aggravating factor that could lead to an exemplary sentence. The case has set off alarms in the mountain town.

The episode once again exposed how drug dealing doesn't distinguish between neighborhoods or professions in Córdoba. FPA emphasized that controls will be intensified in small towns. Judicial authorities stressed that fighting drug trafficking requires firmness in the face of social complicity.

Drug trafficking and loss of values in the community

Residents of Villa Cerro Azul expressed surprise and concern over the veterinarian's actions. In statements, some said they never imagined that a local professional could be linked to drug sales. The case shook trust in local figures.

The Prosecutor's Office warned that supplying drugs to teenagers constitutes a serious social risk. They noted that this behavior erodes family values and deepens the problem of early consumption. The judiciary seeks to send a message of zero tolerance toward these behaviors.
