A 20-year-old motorcyclist was arrested this Sunday afternoon after leading a high-speed chase in Villa Gobernador Gálvez, in an operation that was recorded by municipal security cameras and ended with the intervention of 911, the Tactical Action Police (PAT), and the Radio Command.
Everything began at 5:05 p.m. when PAT personnel attempted to identify the young man at 17 de Octubre and Roque Sáenz Peña streets. The motorcyclist fled without obeying the order to stop, which triggered a pursuit that extended for several blocks and required the mobilization of multiple patrol cars.
The sequence ended in the area of Avenida San Martín and Kennedy, where a police vehicle managed to block his path to carry out the arrest. The young man was identified as Alejandro Ezequiel N., 20 years old, and was riding a red and black Skua 150 cc motorcycle, which was seized.
During the operation, the motorcyclist suffered a trauma to his left leg and was transported under police custody to Anselmo Gamen Hospital. Subsequently, the procedure was referred to the 29th Police Station of Villa Gobernador Gálvez.
The Public Prosecutor's Office ordered that the detainee remain in custody while the investigation progresses. The incident occurred amid increased controls and video surveillance devices implemented in the city, which made it possible to record the entire chase and facilitate coordination of the police operation.
The Secretary of Information Analysis and Management, Esteban Santantino, stated that the operation was carried out "as part of work that has been underway for several months, in conjunction with the local government."
