Violent hooligans seek to cause disturbances at a march next Wednesday

Last Wednesday, Chacarita hooligans joined the Wednesday march at the Congress.

Next Wednesday, March 12, groups of violent hooligans from various soccer clubs announced their participation in a "retirees" demonstration in front of Congress, which anticipates a tense atmosphere and possible clashes with security forces.

Behind this call is the so-called "Fans' Coordinator," an organization with a history of hostility and confrontation, which opposes the Sports Corporations (SAD) promoted by the Government of Javier Milei.

Through social media, violent hooligans from teams like River, Boca, Temperley, Lanús, Tigre, Deportivo Merlo, Almirante Brown, Huracán, Atlanta, Banfield, San Lorenzo, Independiente, Gimnasia, Ferro, Deportivo Morón, Argentinos Juniors, and Vélez have expressed their intention to attend the protest.

Far from representing a genuine concern for retirees, the presence of these organized groups is a clear sign that the demonstration may lead to acts of violence in public spaces, provoked by the hooligans themselves.

Chacarita's hooligans

The immediate precedent occurred last week, when violent Chacarita hooligans infiltrated the retirees' march and chanted threatening slogans like "If they touch the old folks, what chaos will ensue."

These slogans, far from being a show of support, are used as an attempt at intimidation and bullying toward the Government and security forces.

The presence of hooligans in any type of protest only predicts clashes, destruction, and attacks on the police, repeating the violent actions that characterize these sectors.

The Fans' Coordinator, the organization promoting this call, has a history of confrontations with the authorities.

Emerging in 2016, during the presidency of Mauricio Macri, under the pretext of defending fans' interests, it has promoted actions against measures that seek to modernize and bring transparency to the sport.

"We are all fans, we will all be retirees. Let's not leave them stranded. Next Wednesday, come with your jersey to support the retirees," is the slogan with which they reinforced the call, which already had a first edition the previous Wednesday.

With this outlook, the March 12 march ceases to be a peaceful demonstration and turns into a warning of chaos.
