Viviana Canosa might leave El Trece: the network has reportedly decided to cancel her show
The cycle failed to consolidate and could be on the verge of its end due to low ratings and multiple controversies
Viviana Canosa's time at El Trece may have come to an end before it could be consolidated. According to recent information, the channel may have already decided to cancel her show in July, just a few months after its debut.
The news was revealed by Santiago Riva Roy on Bondi Live, who claimed to have first-hand information. "This just came in, hot off the press: Viviana Canosa's show will be canceled in July," he announced on El Ejército de la Mañana, leaving his colleagues stunned.
The show did not perform as expected
The journalist also recalled the scandal that Canosa starred in on her show, when she accused media figures of very serious crimes without verified evidence. That irresponsible exposure may have been a decisive factor in the channel's decision.
Sources close to the matter may have confirmed the decision. "I've checked it, it's a strong source," Riva Roy insisted, who added that Ángel de Brito endorsed the publication of the information.
Internal tensions and discomfort on screen
Canosa had already been expressing her discomfort within the channel. On Carnaval, the streaming show she shares with Alejandro Fantino and Jorge Rial, she stated that she felt "freer" than at El Trece.
"They don't censor me, but every day I do the show with my heart in my throat," she said in one of her latest appearances. She also confessed to being confused about her future: "I'm hearing a lot of things, but I no longer know what's true and what isn't. Let it flow," she said on El Run Run del Espectáculo.

Just days before the alleged cancellation, Canosa is taking a break from hosting. From Wednesday, June 11 to Monday, June 16, she will be replaced by María Belén Ludueña. The reason: her daughter's Bat Mitzvah, an event she had planned for some time.
The show, which was announced enthusiastically by the network, may not have achieved the expected audience levels. The controversies and low ratings may have outweighed her confrontational style.
Thus, Viviana Canosa's return to broadcast television may have lasted only a brief period. The host's future would now remain in the streaming universe, where she has already stated that she feels more comfortable and free from editorial pressures.
