The new generation of the Volkswagen Amarok is advancing in its development stage and has already had a first evaluation with customers in Brazil. The automakerallowed a group of users to drive test units and learn about some of its capabilities before its market arrival.
The future pickup will be manufactured at the General Pacheco plant, Buenos Aires province, and its launch is expected in the first months of 2027. The model will be one of the results of the industrial alliance between Volkswagen and SAIC for the region's markets.

How the new Volkswagen Amarok tests went in Brazil
The activity took place at the industrial complex of Taubaté, São Paulo, where Volkswagen organized a customer contact program. The test track was the chosen setting to evaluate both the new Amarok that will be manufactured in Argentina and the Tukan, a smaller truck that will be produced in Brazil.
The guests did not only participate in a demonstration. They were also able to drive the vehicles and share their experiences with the automaker's representatives, who are looking to gather information on various aspects of the trucks during their development.
The meeting was known from a post by Alexander Seitz, CEO of Volkswagen Brazil, on LinkedIn. The shared images show participants alongside the prototypes and allow a glimpse of the work done with the upcoming regional models.
