After spending a few weeks in Europe with L-Gante, Wanda Nara returned to Argentina to attend Mauro Icardi's niece's birthday in Rosario. At Ezeiza airport, she was approached by journalists and didn't avoid any topic: she launched direct criticism, made ironic remarks about her ex-partner, and harshly questioned Eugenia “La China” Suárez.

The businesswoman also referred sarcastically to the controversial interview that Icardi did with Susana Giménez and Marley in Türkiye, and made it clear that she doesn't plan to reconcile with the footballer.

Peanut campaign, irony, and supposed codes

The phrase that caused the most stir was one that seemed innocent: “I think on Monday I'm recording a peanut campaign…” She added, sharply: “I don't want to eat any more peanuts.” The metaphor was evident to those who follow the media drama between her and Icardi after the release of an intimate video where Icardi would be naked.

Wanda also addressed the rumors indicating that her ex-partner would be willing to donate her belongings that she couldn't retrieve from Türkiye. True to her style, she replied: “In any case, the one who would be donating is me. Because they're my things.”

When asked about the controversial interview that Icardi recorded with Marley and Susana, the host was blunt: “People think everyone betrays me and I think everyone chooses what to do. I'm not angry. I'm the type to leave people on read, sometimes. Or I'm very intuitive.”

Strong criticism of La China and a reflection about her daughter

When she was asked about the possible appearance of La China Suárez on Telefe's screen, Wanda replied calmly: “Nothing bothers me.” She clarified that she never asked for her not to appear on the channel where she also works: “Telefe has been paying me a salary for three years. I gave my ex's phone number, I helped. They were looking for a jersey, they wanted to go.”

However, she was more direct when giving her opinion about the actress: “I feel sorry for a woman who, for money, accepts a lot of things. I love money, but I earn it with dignity. When I met Mauro, I had five times more assets than he did.”

She continued with a mix of irony and resignation: “I hope they're very happy. May the suffering of so many be worth it. Of so many people. Of so many children who aren't with their parents.”

Regarding her relationship with Susana Giménez, she praised her and highlighted a key difference: “Susana is a woman with codes. She's been in the business for a thousand years. She's a good person. If there's someone I want to follow, it's her.”

She also referred, with discomfort, to the rumors that her daughter Francesca wants to remove the Icardi surname. “It's something very intimate, very sad. It's a topic I discuss with my family. We found out from those who were with my daughter, from my family.”

Wanda Nara concluded her remarks, making it clear that she wouldn't get back together with Mauro Icardi, even if he asked her.
“I'm not going to talk about that,” she stated. She finished her appearance with phrases that sum up her position:
“I'm very happy,” “everyone behaves as they want,” and “I've never cared what others say.”
