In an event held in Guayaquil, the president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, delivered 124 new trucks to the National Police to strengthen security on 40 road axes in the country. The measure aims to enhance police operations and ensure a more effective response to emergencies and threats on the highways.
During his speech, Noboa reaffirmed his commitment to national security, stating that Ecuador doesn't bow to crime nor to the politics that support it. He also warned that terrorist groups are intensifying their attacks to destabilize the country as the elections approach.
The president emphasized that the fight against crime is not easy and acknowledged the courage of police officers. "Today more than ever, their bravery has the support of an entire country," he stated.
The investment in security seeks to protect citizens and confront the violence promoted by corruption.
