Historic cocaine seizures

In an international operation, Argentine security forces seized more than 469 kilos (1,034 pounds) of cocaine of maximum purity. The drug was hidden in a grain ship that departed from the United Arab Emirates and had Amsterdam as its final destination.

Meanwhile, during a vehicle inspection conducted on Provincial Route No. 30 in the province of Salta, 194 kilos (428 pounds) of cocaine were seized, hidden in double bottoms of the seat, the sills, and the trunk of a car.

Bullrich in the United Kingdom: cooperation against transnational crime

The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, visited the main juvenile detention center in the United Kingdom to learn about its social reintegration model. She also held meetings with authorities from the National Crime Agency  (NCA) and the British Foreign Office, with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking and international organized crime.

Educational reform: new academic credit system

The Government began implementing a system of academic credits for university degrees. Each credit will equal between 25 and 30 hours of academic dedication. Undergraduate and graduate study plans must be organized around an average of 60 annual credits, in line with international standards.

It is a new way to measure student dedication and design study plans that promote educational freedom, curricular flexibility, student mobility in Argentina and abroad, and the shortening of graduation times.

Partnerships to promote employment and training

The Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello, led a meeting with executives from Mercado Libre Argentina. The objective was to coordinate joint actions in employment and job training, to generate opportunities in the productive sector.

Update of allowances and fuel tax freeze

ANSES announced a 3.73% increase in Universal and family Allowances, which will take effect from May.

Meanwhile, the National Government confirmed that fuel taxes will not be updated in the month of May.

Salaries surpass inflation for the eleventh consecutive month

In February 2025, the wage index rose by 3.8%, above the 2.4% inflation recorded that same month. With this increase, eleven consecutive months of real wage recovery have accumulated.

Records in exports and new markets for Argentina

Argentine pork reached the Philippines market for the first time, expanding the national presence in Asia.

During the first two months of 2025, there was also a year-on-year growth in other exports:
- Live horses: 9% increase
- Wood: 41% increase in volume and 27% in value

Artificial intelligence in Justice: more efficiency and agility

A Generative Artificial Intelligence Pilot Plan was implemented in the Argentine judicial system. The technology is being tested in various courts across the country and shows progress in:
- Document drafting (30.7%)
- Information analysis and search (29%)

The goal is to streamline the Justice service for all citizens.

Elimination of official advertising: new media policy

The National Government announced the elimination of official advertising, with the aim of guaranteeing absolute press freedom in Argentina, promoting a more transparent media system free from state constraints.

Finally, the eviction and criminal complaint against a group of activists "El Grito del Sur"identified with Kirchnerism, who since 2018 had been using a Memory Space and public resources illegally for political propaganda, was reported.
