Diego Brancatelli's personal life became one of the most talked-about topics in Argentine entertainment and television after his extramarital affair with Luciana Elbusto came to light. The businesswoman broke her silence days ago and confirmed a relationship that allegedly lasted for almost five years, while the journalist remained married to fellow journalist Cecilia Insinga, mother of his two children.

The news not only caused a stir on social media and in the media but also had a strong impact on Brancatelli's family and professional life. The C5N panelist, visibly affected, used the Argenzuela program to express his distress over the dissemination of images of his young children.

"I'm fed up, I don't know how to ask for images of my children not to be shown. It's wrong, they're 6 and 9 years old," he pleaded on air. Meanwhile, he initiated legal action to stop the dissemination of private information related to his family environment.

But far from calming down, the scandal added a new chapter, now related to his role at the channel where he works. According to reports on A la Barbarossa (Telefe), Brancatelli decided to step away from his work commitments following the case's repercussions. However, C5N reportedly did not look favorably upon this decision and took a firmer stance.

"Brancatelli didn't go to his program on Monday, he said he wasn't going those days. What I'm told is that C5N decided to demand that he show up. It was like telling him: 'if you like the peach, deal with the fuzz,'" revealed Analía Franchín on the show hosted by Georgina Barbarossa.

The panelist also criticized the journalist's attitude, who allegedly confronted some colleagues over their coverage of the case: "Yesterday he had an attitude that I didn't like in the slightest. When he told a reporter 'I'm taking note of each of you, those who told truths and lies.' That wasn't right. It's an ugly situation, but the first one who should have protected his family was him," the panelist critically remarked about the Kirchnerist's overbearing attitudes.
