On Monday, July 28, a tragic boating accident in Miami Beach shocked both Argentina and the Latino community in the United States.
The accident claimed the life of Mila Yankelevich, 15 years old, granddaughter of renowned producers Gustavo Yankelevich and Cris Morena, and daughter of Tomás Yankelevich and actress Sofía Reca.
Another teenager also lost her life alongside her, whose identity was confirmed in recent hours.

According to journalist Martín Kandalaft on El Diario de Mariana, the other victim was Erin Victoria Ko Han, a 13-year-old teenager of Chilean origin and Asian descent.
"She had been living in Miami for just over a year. She was not Argentine, as was initially reported; there was a misunderstanding," Kandalaft explained, clarifying the rumors that circulated in the hours following the accident.
The news caused deep pain in both families and in the communities to which the young women belonged. Although Erin was not a public figure, her passing had a strong impact on the school and social environment in which she developed, in a multicultural setting in South Florida.
How the accident investigation is progressing
U.S. authorities are continuing to analyze the causes of the maritime accident that claimed the lives of both teenagers.
According to reports, the focus of the investigation is on the boat's operator.
Authorities are seeking to determine whether the operator had adequate visibility at the time of the impact and whether all relevant safety regulations were followed.

"They are waiting for the results of the blood alcohol and drug tests to rule out any substance use," Kandalaft added on the show hosted by Mariana Fabbiani.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred during a recreational outing at sea, when the boat carrying Mila and Erin collided with a floating structure.
The exact circumstances have not yet been clarified, but adverse weather conditions at the time of the accident have been ruled out.
Guido Kaczka's moving message to Mila Yan's family
Mila Yankelevich's passing caused a wave of messages of affection and condolences from the Argentine entertainment world.
One of the most emotional moments took place on eltrece, when Guido Kaczka addressed the case on his show Buenas Noches Familia.
Visibly affected, the host expressed his sorrow for the tragedy affecting a family he considers close.
"There are no words; it's just about supporting them with our hearts. Personally, I care for you so much. Cris, Gustavo, Tomás, Sofía..." Kaczka said, his voice breaking.
"To tell you that we love you and support you with our hearts, that all Argentines are hurting," he concluded.
