Alpine surprised ahead of the United States Grand Prix with an unprecedented livery on its single-seaters. The A525s that will be driven by Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly will feature Mercado Libre's yellow for the first time this season, in a design that aims to connect the French team with the Latin American audience.
The unveiling took place through a promotional video that brought together two prominent figures in the region: Colapinto himself and Neymar Jr. The Brazilian, global ambassador for the brand, and the Argentine driver shared the spotlight in a production that symbolizes the union between sports, speed, and Latin American culture.
The new look highlights the logo of the company founded by Marcos Galperín on the engine cover and rear wing, blending with Alpine's traditional blue and pink tones. The result is one of the most striking combinations in the paddock, with a clear reference to the regional identity of the Argentine driver.
The alliance between the French team and Mercado Libre was sealed at the beginning of 2024, coinciding with Colapinto's arrival to the team after his stint with Williams. Until now, the brand's presence on the car was discreet, but this new version expands its prominence just before the "American Tour" of Formula 1, which includes the rounds in Austin, Mexico, and São Paulo.
Mercado Libre gana presencia en el A525
For many, the choice of yellow is also a message of support for Colapinto, who generates enormous anticipation among fans in the region regarding his stay for the upcoming season. "Racing with Mercado Libre's colors is very special for me," said the driver. He also emphasized the importance of bringing to the track a brand that was born in his country and now represents millions of Latin Americans globally.
The agreement between both parties includes a series of in-person and digital activations under the slogan #UnidosPorLaVelocidad, which aim to bring F1 closer to fans in the region. "For any driver, competing in Formula 1 is a dream. I'm living mine, with effort, dedication, and the support of an unbelievable team. Doing it alongside a company that shares my values makes it even more meaningful," Colapinto stated.
