Franco Colapinto is preparing for a new chapter in his first full season in Formula 1. This weekend, the Argentine driver will get back in the Alpine at the Grand Prix of Austin, where he will look to regain ground and return to the points after a challenging outing in Singapore, where he finished 16th.
"We haven't had things easy in the last few races, but we're continuing to work hard as a team and are focused on learning as much as possible every time we go out on track," Colapinto said beforehand, through a team statement.

The weekend in Austin will have a Sprint format, which means a double opportunity to fight for positions. For the driver from Pilar, that detail could play in his favor: "I'm sure there are races ahead that suit us better and we'll do everything possible to be in the fight and score some points from now until the end of the year."
After his visit to the team's headquarters in Enstone, Colapinto highlighted the prior analysis work and the positive aspects of the track: "The Circuit of the Americas is an unbelievable track to drive on and, since it's a sprint weekend, it'll be great to have two opportunities to race on it. The American crowd is always very welcoming and there are many Argentinians there, which I love. We'll work hard from the start to put on a good show and, hopefully, we can get a good reward."
