Xiaomi has officially announced HyperOS 3.0, the new version of its operating system that replaces MIUI. The update brings key changes in design, performance, and connectivity.

The system aims for smoother integration with other devices and adds features reminiscent of iOS and Android, but with its own unique touch. According to El Español, the first confirmed devices will receive the beta in China.

What's new in HyperOS 3

The most talked-about innovation is Super Island, an evolution of the iPhone's Dynamic Island. This feature allows users to view up to three notification panels simultaneously, tailored to the level of information.

Real-time notifications, such as flights or rides in mobility apps, are displayed as expandable panels. The music player is also integrated in a more visual and interactive design.

A more powerful animation engine

The new animation engine works closer to the hardware, making the system faster and smoother. According to Xiaomi, energy efficiency has also improved, which extends the devices' battery life.

The role of artificial intelligence

HyperOS 3 adds AI-based features, such as Super Xiao AI in China, capable of analyzing screen content and offering contextual assistance. In international markets, integration with Gemini is expected.

Unprecedented connectivity with Apple and between mobile devices

One of the most striking aspects is the direct connection with Apple devices. HyperOS 3 allows users to view photos and receive notifications on a Mac or iPad, and even unlock them with a Xiaomi mobile device.

Additionally, for the first time, users will be able to sync photos and messages between Xiaomi and iPhone mobile devices, expanding interoperability.
