Yanina Latorre was adamant in refusing to interview Roberto Castillo, Cinthia Fernández's partner, on her América TV show. She harshly criticized him and accused him of being violent and a liar.
It all started when Castillo requested to go on Sálvese quien pueda to give his version about a video where he is seen assaulting his ex. However, Yanina stood her ground and didn't accept the conditions he demanded.

Why did Yanina Latorre refuse to host Roberto Castillo?
Castillo had requested to be on the show with one condition: That the video of the assault and his ex-wife's testimonies not be aired. For Latorre, that was unacceptable.
"I thought that was whitewashing his image, and I don't whitewash anyone's image," she shot back. According to Yanina, he wanted special treatment that doesn't fit with the show's dynamics.
"He's violent and a coward"
The host held nothing back and was direct: "I consider him to be violent and a coward," she expressed live. She also mentioned that she had already shared her opinion on the case on her social media.
"There was a restraining order, and the topic couldn't be discussed. He said he would pay the fine to be able to go on air. But then he set conditions, and I canceled the interview," she added.

Yanina emphasized that she defines the content management. "Here we all talk together, we don't do one-on-one interviews," she explained about the show's format.
"If someone comes, they face the entire panel. I choose how I work," the journalist stated, marking her firm stance against what she considers Castillo's media strategy.
