Yanina Latorre's comment

This Tuesday, June 10, Latorre opened her show Sálvese quien Pueda with a clear and forceful message.  "Hello, comrades, better said than ever, on a historic day", she began.

She then expressed her satisfaction: "I'm very happy. I'm starting to see a bit of clarity, of justice, that the corrupt stop getting away with it".

"The first big-time thief we've seen imprisoned"

Latorre did not mince her words when referring to the former president.  "A shitty era ends and a better one begins", she stated bluntly.

"She's the first big-time thief we've seen imprisoned, after seventeen years of trial", she fired, in direct reference to the Vialidad case. She also mentioned her friend Jorge Lanata: "I'm sad that he's not here to see this."

The ruling found her guilty of fraudulent administration in the case regarding irregularities in public works during her administration.

A corruption network that lasted for years

The highest court stated that there was a sustained scheme between 2003 and 2015. According to the ruling, it was led by Cristina herself and carried out together with close officials.

The scheme sought to benefit businessman Lázaro Báez with rigged bids, overpricing, and projects that were never completed.
