Yanina Latorre surprised by acknowledging that she went through a moment of tension with América TV, the channel where she hosts Sálvese Quien Pueda (SQP). Although she clarified that she does not have a general conflict with the network, she admitted that a specific situation made her explode with anger.
The host referred to the issue during a chat with the streaming program Ya Fue Todo, where she spoke candidly about her relationship with the channel and explained why she ultimately decided not to publicly expose what happened.
It all started when Alejandro Castelo claimed on air that the journalist was upset with the channel. Following that version, they shared an audio of the host herself clarifying her stance.
“I don't have anything that overwhelms me with the channel, the other day something specific happened that got me heated,” Yanina Latorre expressed, making it clear that it was an isolated incident.
Additionally, she explained that she was close to making her anger public, although she ultimately decided against it. “I was going to say it, but since when I go on air everything is so good, I'm doing well and the numbers support it, then I forget to curse...,” she commented with laughter.
However, she left the door open for future criticisms if the situation repeats itself. “I will curse when something happens again because it's not something that totally overwhelms me,” she stated.
In a recent broadcast of Sálvese Quien Pueda, Latorre stated that the former footballer never talked about his daughters during the first stage of his participation in the reality show and maintained that he later used the topic as part of his game strategy.
“A bad father is not well-regarded, an abandoning father is not well-regarded. We didn't make anything up, we listened to the moms,” the host affirmed in reference to the allegations that emerged about Sarmiento's family ties.
Moreover, she emphasized that her stance does not stem from a personal issue. She even recalled that she has maintained a cordial relationship with the former player for years, although she clarified that she cannot defend behaviors she considers incorrect.
The journalist was even more forceful at the end of her statement. “It bothered me that he doesn't see them, you don't support them and you use them to play. You're over 40, go work at something decent and support the girls,” she shot back.
