YPF and Toyota have officially renewed their strategic alliance, a partnership that for seven years has driven improvements in efficiency, innovation, and international expansion. The agreement was signed by YPF's president and CEO, Horacio Marín, and Toyota Argentina's president, Gustavo Salinas, during a visit to Vaca Muerta, the country's energy heart.
Both executives toured key facilities at the unconventional oil field and observed the origin of YPF fuels, certified with the international TOP TIER standard, which Toyota uses in its vehicles and recommends to its customers.
Marín emphasized that "the partnership with a company like Toyota is an example of the model we're seeking: working as a single team to consolidate YPF as a more efficient, innovative, and globally competitive company". The message aligns with the productive transformation and business modernization agenda promoted by the national government.

Meanwhile, Salinas highlighted that YPF fuels and lubricants used at the Zárate plant allow vehicles such as Hilux, SW4, and Hiace to be exported to 22 Latin American countries. "It shows the potential of the Argentine industry and of this partnership," he stated.
Vaca Muerta: center of innovation and productive efficiency
During the visit, the teams observed the implementation of TOYOTA WELL, an adapted version of the Toyota Production System (TPS) applied to YPF's oil business. This methodology, globally recognized for its efficiency, is contributing to the sustained increase in productivity at Vaca Muerta.
