YPF took a new step in its operational transformation process with the inauguration of the Real Time Operations Room (RTOR) at the La Plata Industrial Complex, one of the most important refining centers in the country. This is an operations room that integrates in real time all the units of the complex, allowing centralized, more efficient, and safer control of production processes.
The commissioning of this room is part of a modernization strategy that seeks to improve competitiveness, optimize costs, and raise industrial safety standards, in line with the vision of efficiency and economic rationality promoted by the national government.
Comprehensive monitoring to reduce times and improve results
Until now, the monitoring of the different units of the La Plata Industrial Complex was carried out independently. With the RTOR, engineers and operators work in a coordinated manner from a single center, significantly reducing the time between the detection of a deviation and the correction of the process.
This integration makes it possible to:

Return more quickly to the optimal operating point

The centralization of monitoring represents a qualitative leap in the industrial management of YPF, aligned with international standards of energy efficiency.

The RTOR incorporates state-of-the-art technology, advanced connectivity, and data analysis systems that strengthen real-time decision-making. In addition, its direct interaction with the Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) expands the capacity to anticipate scenarios and detect risk conditions at an early stage.
"With the RTOR we are taking a strategic step toward the future. This is not only about technology, but about how we take care of our people and make each process more efficient", stated Horacio Marín, president and CEO of YPF. In that regard, he emphasized that the objective is to consolidate the company as a benchmark in operational excellence and energy leadership in the region.
