YPF was recognized as the regional company of the year by the Energy Council, one of the most influential organizations in the global energy sector. The award, presented at the World Energy Capital Assembly (WECA) in London, acknowledged the deep transformation the company has been driving and the concrete results achieved over the past year.
The award was received by Horacio Marín, president and CEO of YPF, who stated that the award "confirms that we're moving forward decisively to become a world-class company." Marín emphasized that this achievement is the result of "the commitment and passion of everyone at YPF," noting that the recognition belongs to the entire team behind the modernization process.
The impact of the 4x4 Plan: more production, efficiency, and competitiveness

One of the main factors explaining YPF's selection is the 4x4 Plan, the corporate strategy through which the company set concrete goals for efficiency, growth, and international expansion.
Among the most significant milestones were:
- More than 200,000 barrels per day of shale oil, with 82% growth in less than two years.
- Substantial improvements in operational efficiency, placing YPF's unconventional production at competitiveness levels comparable to those in the United States.
- Process optimization and cost reduction in Vaca Muerta operations.
- Consolidation of a scalable production model, aimed at both domestic supply and exports.
This production leap enabled YPF to establish itself as one of the key players in the region's energy development and as a driving force for the Argentine economy.
