President Noboa supported police and military in Nueva Prosperina
The president offered a presidential pardon to law enforcement forces that combat organized crime.
The President of the Republic, Daniel Noboa, reiterated his commitment to the country's security by announcing that he will grant presidential pardons to police officers and military personnel participating in intervention operations in Nueva Prosperina, one of the most conflictive areas of Guayaquil.
From his social media, Noboa highlighted the work of the law enforcement forces and urged them to act "with determination and without fear of reprisals". He emphasized that, in the face of the advance of organized crime, his Government will guarantee legal protection to those who fight in defense of the country.
The intervention in Nueva Prosperina is part of the security strategy implemented after the declaration of internal armed conflict. This past Friday, March 7, the National Police carried out more than 200 raids in the Socio Vivienda and Barraca sectors, achieving the arrest of 14 people, including two teenagers.

Five of the detainees have records for drug trafficking, possession of weapons, robbery, and homicide.
Noboa's measure provides support to law enforcement forces, allowing them to operate with greater legal security in their fight against armed groups like Los Tiguerones. "Defend the country, I defend you", concluded the president, making clear his commitment to the recovery of peace in Ecuador.
