The Constitutional Court judges' draw will determine three new vacancies.
The partial renewal process will be carried out transparently and with citizen oversight.
The Constitutional Court (CC) announced that on March 11 at 10:30, the draw will be held to select three judges who will cease their functions. This process responds to the mechanism of partial renewal by thirds, as established by law.
The magistrates Alí Lozada Prado, Carmen Corral Ponce, Karla Andrade Quevedo, Enrique Herrería Bonnet, Teresa Nuques Martínez, and Daniela Salazar Marín will be the possible outgoing members. The only exception will apply if any of them have voluntarily requested their withdrawal before the draw.
According to the official statement, the selection will be carried out manually, ensuring transparency and public access to the procedure. To strengthen confidence in the process, the Court has called on the public to participate as observers, registering until March 10 at 15:00 through the official email.

Meanwhile, this Friday March 7 at 13:00, an automated draw will be held to choose the notary of the Metropolitan District of Quito, who will certify the legality of the event.
This procedure seeks to ensure an orderly and norm-compliant institutional transition, allowing the renewal of the highest constitutional control body. Citizen oversight and the intervention of a notary reinforce confidence in the legitimacy and fairness of the draw.
