The Correísta candidate was accused of xenophobia after proposing mass deportations
The Venezuelan community in Ecuador expressed their rejection of Luisa González's statements during the presidential debate. The correísta candidate proposed deporting migrants without regular income, which caused concern and outrage.
"I will do like the United States: return the Venezuelans who take our jobs or sow violence," said González. The Venezuela Association in Ecuador described the proposal as absurd and xenophobic.
Daniel Regalado, their representative, lamented that Venezuelans are being used as a political tool. "She is not offering solutions, but attacking a vulnerable nationality," he stated.
Regalado recalled that many Venezuelans arrived fleeing Nicolás Maduro's repression. "It is not fair that we are now treated as a threat when we have contributed with work and effort," he indicated.

During the debate, Daniel Noboa avoided attacks and proposed integration without losing migratory control. His approach was economic and social, without resorting to hate or exclusion.
Venezuelan groups asked the CNE and TCE to investigate González's statements for possible incitement to hatred. They also rejected recognizing Nicolás Maduro's regime as legitimate.
Luisa González's words caused indignation for their exclusionary and authoritarian tone. In contrast, Daniel Noboa projected a more democratic and respectful vision, far from the failed model of Bolivarian socialism.
