The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced through Truth Social that the US Armed Forces managed to rescue the second pilot of the F-15 crashed inside Iran, in one of the “boldest rescue operations in history”.

“I am pleased to announce that he is now safe and sound,” Trump said in his message, in which he also stressed that the rescued soldier, whom he defined as a “courageous warrior”, had remained under persecution by forces of the Iranian regime. As he explained, the monitoring of cash was constant by senior US officials throughout the operation

.

The president stressed that, under his direction, an extensive military device was deployed to carry out the rescue. In that regard, he stated that “dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the world, were sent to recover it.” Although the pilot suffered injuries during the incident, Trump indicated that he is out of danger and in the process of recovering.

This action is in addition to the successful rescue of the first American F-15 pilot carried out the day before. As Trump remarked, this is the first time in U.S. military history that two pilots have been rescued separately in

enemy territory.

In his message, the president also stressed that both missions were carried out without casualties or injuries among U.S. forces.

He attributed this result to “overwhelming air superiority over Iranian airspace”, which allowed the operations to be carried out effectively and precisely. The statement concluded with a call for national unity and a recognition of the troops involved.

Details of the rescue operation

According to US media, the rescued pilot managed to avoid being captured by Iranians after climbing a mountain, from where he sent evacuation beacons to

facilitate his location.

From that moment on, multiple aircraft were deployed that operated throughout the day with the objective of securing an evacuation zone, confronting enemy forces in the process.

The situation became even more complex when, after contact with the pilot by members of the US Special Forces, two transport planes were stuck at a remote base inside Iran. Faced with this scenario, reinforcements were sent to complete the extraction and abandoned aircraft were destroyed
