The DSA promotes a socialist plan that seeks to dismantle the pillars of the political system in the US

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the most dangerous socialist organization in the country, is preparing to present an update to its political platform with a series of proposals that would profoundly modify the institutional structure of the United States.

The new document, which is expected to be published in the coming days, contemplates the elimination of the Senate, the replacement of the president and the Supreme Court with bodies subordinate to Congress, as well as a broad immigration reform and other economic and social changes.

According to sources familiar with the group's planning, the new platform is part of a long-term strategy to redefine the U.S. government system. Among the most controversial measures is the elimination of the Senate, one of the two chambers of Congress and one of the pillars of the federal system established by the Constitution.

The outrageous proposal also proposes replacing the figure of the president with an executive power elected by Congress and replacing the Supreme Court with a judicial power likewise appointed and supervised by the Legislative Branch. If realized, these changes would radically alter the current scheme of separation of powers and the system of checks and balances that characterizes the federal government.

The plan also includes a amnesty for all immigrants who remain in the United States irregularly and the elimination of funding for the Department of War.

These initiatives expand the lunatic political platform that the DSA has been advocating for several years. Among its current positions are the immediate end of all deportations, free migration between countries without restrictive immigration controls, and the extension of voting rights to individuals convicted of crimes and to residents who do not possess U.S. citizenship.

In the economic and social realm, the organization also proposes establishing a 32-hour workweek without a reduction in salary or benefits, implementing a universal healthcare system known as ''Medicare for All'', canceling all student debt, eliminating the cash bail system for those accused of crimes, and applying universal rent price controls.

Within its political program for the 2025-2026 period, the DSA also proposes drafting a new democratic Constitution that would replace the current institutional model with a system based on a single federal legislature elected through proportional representation.

The Dangerous Growth of Socialism in the United States

For years, the DSA was considered a movement of limited influence within the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. However, in recent electoral cycles the organization has alarmingly increased its political presence thanks to the victory of several candidates backed by the movement in primary and general elections.

Among the most well-known figures associated with the DSA are representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from New York, and Rashida Tlaib from Michigan. However, one of its most visible members today is the socialist mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, who gained national notoriety after defeating former governor Andrew Cuomo in a Democratic election held in 2025.

Since that victory, other candidates backed by the organization have also achieved harmful victories. Among them are Melat Kiros in Colorado, and Darializa Avila-Chevalier in New York, who defeated incumbent Democratic congresspeople, strengthening the DSA's presence within the U.S. political landscape.

Following these results, the organization stated that ''only socialism can solve decades of capitalist mismanagement in the United States'' and asserted that its representatives will defend the interests of the working class.
