President Donald Trump appointed Todd Blanche as acting attorney general of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) after the dismissal of Pam Bondi, in what represents the second major reorganization within his cabinet during his second term. The appointment, of a temporary nature, seeks to ensure the continuity of government policies and strengthen law enforcement while defining who will hold office on
a permanent basis.
Trump announced the decision through Truth Social, where he highlighted Blanche's career, calling him a “very talented and respected” jurist and highlighting his ability to lead the Department of Justice at a critical time for the administration. For her part, Blanche thanked the president for his trust and stated that he will continue to support law enforcement and work to maintain security throughout the
country.

Blanche Blanche's vast experience
has an extensive background within the Department of Justice. Before his recent promotion, he served as Deputy Attorney General, where he oversaw more than 115,000 employees, including key agencies such as the FBI, the DEA, the Marshals Service and the ATF, in addition to the country's 93 federal prosecutors.
