The Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, announced this Friday that she will publish never-before-seen documents related to funding by the Obama and Biden administrations for 120 biological laboratories distributed across 30 countries, including some in Ukraine.
"In support of President Trump's Executive Order to end federal funding for dangerous gain-of-function research worldwide, and to increase transparency and accountability, the ODNI [Office of the Director of National Intelligence] will continue working with partners across the administration to identify where these laboratories are, what pathogens they contain, and what 'research' is being conducted", Gabbard posted on X.
"The information surrounding the existence, history, location, and funding of these U.S.-funded biological laboratories has been intentionally covered up by powerful individuals who falsely claim they do not exist", the intelligence chief's announcement continues.
The danger posed by these laboratories
Gabbard noted that intelligence agencies had previously warned that there was a U.S.-funded biological laboratory in Ukraine that likely contained dangerous pathogens. As the war with Russia continues, the former congresswoman from Hawaii stated, the laboratories are vulnerable to attack, seizure, or damage by Russia.
