US intelligence found a video that confirms the development of Covid in a Chinese laboratory that Fauci was funding

The most recent batch of documents declassified by former National Intelligence Director, Tulsi Gabbard, details that U.S. intelligence located a video in which a doctor receiving funding from Washington describes experiments conducted in China to manipulate the coronavirus in order to predict human transmission.

In 2021, an intelligence agent alerted his colleagues about this material circulating online, in which a government-funded scientist publicly admitted that his colleagues in China had manipulated spike proteins in coronaviruses.

During that period, the top health official in the Biden administration was Dr. Anthony Fauci, whose office had funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab in China, where scientists conducted such experiments. At the same time, Fauci's apparatus had suppressed anyone questioning the origins of COVID-19 or seeking to prove that the virus spread due to a lab accident.

In the recording, Dr. Peter Daszak is shown explaining how his "colleagues in China" grafted spike proteins from coronaviruses found in "pseudoparticles" to test if they could infect human cells.

"Hello everyone, I just saw this video online," the intelligence official wrote in an email sent to his colleagues. "It's from a 2016 meeting of the New York Academy of Medicine, where Daszak talks about his colleagues in China manipulating the spike protein in coronaviruses to make them more virulent," he added.

"We found other coronaviruses in bats, some of which looked very similar to SARS. So we sequenced the spike protein, the protein that attaches to cells, then we -well, I didn't do this work, my colleagues in China did- created pseudoparticles, inserted the spike proteins from those viruses and see if they bind to human cells," Daszak states in the material. "And with each step of this, you get closer and closer to this virus actually becoming pathogenic in people."

Funding for Chinese labs was cut when Trump returned to power

Daszak and his research organization, EcoHealth Alliance, were linked to this risky science and funded gain-of-function research in labs in China through grants awarded by the U.S. government. It was precisely in one of these Wuhan labs where the virus is claimed to have originated.

When Donald Trump returned to the White House in January 2025, his Department of Health banned both Daszak and EcoHealth from receiving federal funding for five years, accusing him of facilitating and transferring taxpayer money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology before the pandemic began.

The existence of the video and Daszak's comments show that Fauci, who was director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the time, knew that Washington was funding gain-of-function experiments. This would demonstrate that the Democratic doctor lied to the Senate in 2021 when he denied that his office had subsidized such research.

Other documents included in the declassified batch reveal that Biden buried a whistleblower complaint accusing Fauci of lying under oath before Congress. Gabbard claims that these files reveal how the Democratic government covered up Fauci's actions and hid the truth from the public about the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
