Donald Trump: 'Military pressure on Hamas must be increased'
The U.S. president asked the world not to forget what happened on October 7
Former United States President Donald Trump stated that he doesn't believe Hamas is willing to accept, under the current circumstances, an agreement that includes a ceasefire and the release of the hostages it is holding in the Gaza Strip.
In an interview with Axios, Trump avoided taking a position for or against the plan recently approved by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take control of Gaza City.
However, he supported the Israeli leader's argument that "more military pressure on Hamas is needed".

"Israel must decide what the next steps in Gaza will be and whether it will allow Hamas to remain there, although I believe they can't stay," Trump emphasized.
The former president described as "a good call" his phone conversation on Sunday with Netanyahu, in which both discussed the operation in Gaza City.
Trump concluded with an emphatic message: "I only have one thing to say: remember October 7, remember October 7," referring to the massacre perpetrated by Hamas in 2023, and repeating the words Netanyahu used in two press conferences the previous night, when he warned that "there are those who have already forgotten October 7."
