Israel boosts its technological prowess with Artificial Intelligence

The Israeli market opened in the first half of 2025 twice as many AI job openings as in the entire year 2024

Israel is undergoing a deep transformation in its technology ecosystem, with artificial intelligence (AI) as the absolute protagonist.

According to a report published by GotFriends, the country's largest technology recruitment firm, the Israeli market opened twice as many AI job openings in the first half of 2024 as during all of 2023.

The firm describes the demand as "unprecedented", driven by the rapid adoption of generative AI in areas such as product development and marketing, the emergence of AI-focused startups, as well as established companies that are "placing AI at the center of the product".

Added to this is the growing flow of venture capital into AI-related projects, which has further increased the need for highly qualified talent.

The six most in-demand profiles currently are: AI researcher/scientist, LLM specialist, cybersecurity researcher with an AI focus, generative AI developer, data engineer specialized in AI, and AI product manager.

The average monthly salary at companies focused on artificial intelligence reached ₪43,085 (about $11,500), the highest in the entire Israeli technology sector.

The report also reveals a clear reorganization of the salary pyramid.

C++, Python, product management, and algorithms professionals saw increases between 4% and 6% during the first half of the year.

Meanwhile, traditional roles in quality, mobile development, and frontend—affected by automation and an abundant supply of talent—experienced salary decreases between 3% and 10%.

"The high-tech industry is transforming around AI," explained Shiri Vax, GotFriends's CEO. "My advice is clear: understand where the world is heading and align your expertise with what's trending today, and with what will be essential tomorrow."

This accelerated shift toward artificial intelligence confirms Israel's place not only as a "Startup Nation", but as a global powerhouse in technological innovation.
