The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the International Committee of the Red Cross delivered the remains of a murdered Israeli hostage, which were transferred to the IDF and Shin Bet shortly after 10:15 p.m., according to the Prime Minister's Office.

The body was received just one day after Israel recovered the remains of Sergeant Itay Chen, who was identified Wednesday morning at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Abu Kabir.

In this new case, authorities clarified that the identity of the remains delivered today has not yet been determined, a process that could take up to two days.

Hamas had announced hours earlier, through social media, that it would deliver the body of another "murdered Israeli hostage", without providing a name or details about the circumstances of the death.

With this delivery, Hamas has now returned four bodies in the past week: Colonel Asaf Hamami, Captain Omer Neutra, Sergeant Oz Daniel, and Sergeant Itay Chen.

After Chen's recovery, there are still seven murdered Israeli hostages whose bodies remain in Gaza: Meny Godard, Hadar Goldin, Ran Gvili, Joshua Loitu Mollel, Dror Or, Lior Rudaeff, and Sudthisak Rinthalak.

It is worth recalling that Goldin was kidnapped and murdered during his military service in 2014, becoming the hostage held by Hamas for the longest period.

Israeli authorities maintain a cautious stance regarding each Hamas announcement, recalling that the terrorist organization has repeatedly used the delivery of remains as an instrument of manipulation and political pressure, even spreading false information in the past.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum issued a statement expressing: "We stand with another Israeli family facing the cruelest uncertainty. Until the identity of the remains is known, we share their anguish and reiterate our commitment: we won't rest until everyone, whether alive or murdered, returns home."

Israeli security sources emphasize that the army will continue operations in Gaza until the return of every hostage and the complete elimination of Hamas's terrorist infrastructure, which continues to use captives as human shields and bargaining chips.

The return of this new body—still unidentified—reopens wounds but also reinforces Israeli determination: no hostage will be forgotten and no murderer will go unpunished.
