Israel warns Iran: 'Khamenei should look up when he leaves the bunker'
The Israeli Defense Minister replied to the recent threats from the Islamic theocracy
Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, denounced that Iran has published a list of senior Israeli political and security leaders whom it intends to assassinate, apparently in retaliation for Israel's actions in Gaza.
According to Katz, the graphic released by Tehran includes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — identified as "criminal against humanity" —, Katz himself — "minister of terror" —, former Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai — "regime jailer" —, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir — "leader of terror" —, and Air Force Commander Major General Tomer Bar — "child murderer" —, among others, all labeled with derogatory epithets.
In his message, published on social network X, Katz issued a direct warning to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: "I suggest to the Iranian dictator Khamenei that, when he leaves his bunker, he occasionally look up at the sky and listen carefully for any buzzing. The participants of the 'Red Wedding' are waiting for him there".

The reference alludes to a famous scene from the Game of Thrones series and saga in which a massacre occurs during a wedding.
The exchange of threats comes as Iran is still recovering from Operation "Rising Lion," a 12-day Israeli offensive in June that, according to Katz, destroyed most of the Islamic Republic's nuclear and ballistic missile facilities.
"We struck Iran's nuclear program and its missile manufacturing system. They were the central dangers to Israel's security", the minister stated.
Katz emphasized that the plan required "years of preparation, intelligence gathering, and training" before it could be executed.
The Iranian publication and the Israeli response further heighten tensions in a regional context already marked by direct confrontation and mutual threats.
