An antisemitic terrorist was arrested for setting 11 patrol cars on fire in New York.

The criminal responsible for the attack carried out in June in Brooklyn is an anti-Israel militant

A radical extremist linked to the "Free Palestine" movement has been charged with setting fire to 11 New York Police Department (NYPD) vehicles. The act of vandalism took place on June 12 in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Jakhi Lodgson-McCray, 21 years old, faces federal charges of arson, a crime that could cost him up to 20 years in prison.

According to the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, McCray climbed a fence to enter a parking lot reserved for police vehicles and then set fire to ten patrol cars and a trailer. The total damage is estimated at about $800,000.

McCray's arrest, which occurred after an intense month-long search, once again puts the escalation of violence associated with certain sectors of anti-Israel protests in the United States under scrutiny.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny stated that McCray "has been very active in the protest community," especially at demonstrations linked to the Palestinian cause.

He also identified him as responsible for damaging a statue on the Columbia University campus during last year's riots.

Radical student groups, such as Columbia University Apartheid Divest, have publicly come out in support of the accused.

We hope that justice moves forward and that the full weight of the law falls on the antisemitic terrorists who, unfortunately, are far more numerous than we imagine.
