The Cultural Counter-Revolution against abortion: Martí Batres perverts ISSSTE
The ideological agenda of the left advances over institutions, ignoring faith and science
The Cultural Counter-Revolution, which we build every day against postmodern Marxism and its siege on the foundations of Christian civilization, is sustained by non-negotiable defenses, the second being the defense of life from conception. This principle is non-negotiable: the human being, from its first instant, carries an ontological dignity that no power can profane. Today, in Mexico, Martí Batres, director of the ISSSTE, intends to turn the public budget—sustained by the taxes of millions of pro-life Christians—into a weapon to finance abortion, an act that is not only a huge administrative abuse but also a declaration of war against the truth, justice, and transcendence that define our identity as a nation. In response, together with CitizenGO, we have launched a signature collection campaign to stop this imposition (we have 12,500 and counting), a cry from the common good against the progressive supremacism that seeks to trample our convictions. Abortion, presented by progressivism as a "right," is the denial of the essential ethical mandate: thou shalt not kill. As I wrote in "New Right: The Return of God to Culture," respect for life is the foundation of any civilization that aspires to justice. Pope Benedict XVI, during his visit to Mexico in 2012, expressed it clearly: "The unparalleled dignity of every human person, created by God, is the foundation of all rights." Batres, by ordering the ISSSTE to facilitate the "interruption" of pregnancy, not only ignores this truth; he commits an act of ideological supremacism, hijacking a public institution to impose an agenda that repudiates the faith of 88% of Mexicans who, according to the INEGI, declare themselves Christians. Is it legitimate for the money of pro-lifers, who with their effort sustain the treasury, to be used to finance what they consider a crime against life and Creation? The campaign with CitizenGO responds with a resounding "no," demanding that the ISSSTE respect the conscience of millions. This maneuver by Batres embodies the "progre-globalism" that I denounce in The Cultural Counter-Revolution against postmodern Marxism as an ideology that, under the guise of "modernity," eradicates Christian values and promotes hedonistic individualism. Abortion, one of the most terrible spearheads of progre-globalism with anti-natalist purposes, represents a clear ethical violation, and it is not progress, but regression toward a State that annihilates the weak instead of protecting them. In Brazil (2007), Ratzinger warned: "Globalization must be governed by ethics, putting everything at the service of the human person." Batres, on the other hand, puts the ISSSTE at the service of an ideological elite that ignores science—which confirms that the fetus is a human being from conception—and despises the citizen's will. Surveys like the one from Parametría (2023) show that more than 60% of Mexicans reject free abortion, but Batres acts as if his vision were a universal mandate, an echo of the "soft socialism" that I describe as a red dictatorship disguised as democracy. The public budget is not a booty for ideological experiments. Every peso contributed by Christians carries a moral burden: it must serve life, health, and never death. Forcing pro-lifers to finance abortion violates religious freedom and conscientious objection. Batres fractures the social contract and betrays authentic secularism, which respects beliefs instead of imposing an agenda. The campaign with CitizenGO and the International Cristero Army (ECI) not only rejects this imposition: it seeks to restore respect for freedom of conscience, demanding that ISSSTE resources be allocated to life, not to the culture of death. The New Right, in its commitment to the Cultural Counter-Revolution, doesn't limit itself to condemning: it proposes. We demand that the ISSSTE prioritize policies supporting motherhood: comprehensive care centers for pregnant women, adoption programs, and education for life, as I propose in New Right by defending the "family perspective" against woke individualism. We demand a public debate where reason and science dismantle the dogmas of progressivism, as I did when criticizing the "eco-animalist supremacism" that equates human life with that of an animal and advocates not killing bulls, but sees tearing babies in gestation from their mothers' wombs as good and applauds it. We also advocate for a reform that guarantees fiscal conscientious objection, allowing pro-lifers to disconnect their taxes from practices contrary to their faith. These measures, inspired by Vox's Spain Agenda, are not utopias; they are the practical translation of our struggle for a society centered on God, life, and family. Batres may believe that abortion is an irreversible "conquest," but history shows that truth prevails. As I wrote in The Cultural Counter-Revolution, "postmodern Marxism has no compass: it is criminal hedonism." The campaign with CitizenGO is a firm step in this crusade for the future: a Mexico where the State honors the sacredness of life, and doesn't trample it. Let Batres understand: public money is not for killing innocents; it is for building hope under the gaze of Christ the King. It is time to fight. With everything, soldiers!
