Noroña fled from CIDE after being confronted by students over the Teuchitlán case.
The Morena party member lost his temper with young people who demanded he be held accountable for his controversial statements about the extermination camps
The President of the Senate, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, was exposed once again for his arrogance and disdain toward the victims of violence in Mexico.
During a conference at the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE), the member of Morena was confronted by outraged students.
This was due to his comments minimizing the discovery of Rancho Izaguirre in Teuchitlán, Jalisco, where human remains were found in atrocious conditions. The senator's reaction was not one of dialogue or reflection, but of fury and intolerance.

Youth expose Noroña
From his arrival at CIDE, the senator was met by students who raised banners with messages in defense of truth and justice.
In a symbolic act, they placed empty shoes in honor of the victims of Teuchitlán, a gesture that highlighted the indignation the case has caused.
Far from offering answers or acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, Fernández Noroña reacted with disdain and provocations.

He refused to acknowledge the suffering of the families of the disappeared and attacked the protesters, accusing them of being uninformed.
His arrogant and defiant stance only fueled the discontent of the attendees, who demanded respect regarding his stance on the victims of violence.
Noroña loses control and leaves the event
As the students' questioning intensified, the senator began to lose his composure. He attempted to discredit the accusations, claiming that there is not enough evidence to assert that the Teuchitlán ranch was a "extermination camp."
However, his attitude only confirmed what is already evident: the government continues to downplay the humanitarian tragedy that Mexico is experiencing.
Finally, unable to sustain the debate, Noroña chose to abruptly leave the event, avoiding giving explanations.

A government that evades the truth
Fernández Noroña's reaction is not an isolated case. It is part of a trend within the Morena government to evade, minimize, and justify the violence plaguing the country.
Cases like that of Teuchitlán expose the failure of the self-proclaimed "fourth transformation" to address the crisis of forced disappearances and ensure justice for affected families.
Meanwhile, Mexican youth continue to demonstrate that they will not remain silent in the face of the abuses of power.

The students of CIDE, with their brave and well-founded protest, cornered a senator who prefers confrontation to self-criticism.
Their action is a demonstration that society will not be deceived and will continue to demand truth and justice in the face of impunity and the cynicism of the Morena government.
