Mexico City, February 17. In a scenario marked by political and social tensions, Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) has launched an offensive against the recent reform to Infonavit. It accuses the ruling party, Morena, of perpetrating a "theft" of Mexican workers' savings.

This controversy comes at a critical moment for the current administration. The government is already facing debates over the management of public resources and the lack of transparency.

PAN denounces fund diversion

Senator Enrique Vargas del Villar, one of PAN's most critical voices, described the reform as an attempt to divert housing funds. He accuses Morena and its allies of using them for political purposes.

PAN has promised to challenge the reform in court. Additionally, it will offer legal advice to workers who wish to file appeals.

Legal actions

PAN will organize a structured legal strategy, involving its legal team and legislators in each state, with the aim of defending workers' housing rights.

Panistas believe that this reform threatens the assets of millions of Mexicans. They state that many have saved for years with the hope of accessing decent housing.

Political criticism

Meanwhile, Morena celebrates the approval of the reform, PAN denounces that this attitude reflects a lack of sensitivity toward workers' needs.

PAN warns that this measure will not benefit citizens. Instead, they fear it will facilitate the discretionary use of Infonavit's resources and weaken access to housing loans.

Social and economic impact

Beyond the legal and political debate, the reform to Infonavit generates concern among the working population, as it jeopardizes their economic security and their right to decent housing.

PAN seeks to position itself as the defender of family assets and labor rights, intending to make this issue a central axis of future electoral contests.

With this move, the blue and white party attempts to strengthen its image before citizens, presenting itself as an alternative to what it considers predatory government policies. The management of public resources and transparency will undoubtedly be key points in upcoming political debates.
