Morena convoy runs over and kills young person at campaign kickoff in Uxpanapa
A Suburban without plates from Morena's convoy ran over a young man and left him without assistance in Los Juanes, Veracruz
Elsa Cobos's campaign kickoff, candidate of Morena for municipal presidency, was marked by the death of a young man who was run over by an official convoy truck accompanying the state party leader, Esteban Ramírez Zepeta.
The incident occurred in the community of Los Juanes, when a gray Suburban without plates, which was part of the convoy, was speeding on a dirt road. Eyewitnesses claim that the vehicle suddenly swerved and hit the young man, whose name has not been disclosed by the authorities yet.
Blood-stained campaign
The most outrageous thing, residents point out, was that no one got out of the vehicle to help the young man. On the contrary, they left the body on the road, leaving the vehicle at the site and then fleeing in other vehicles.
A video shared on social media shows the convoy moving recklessly minutes before the incident. The images have sparked a wave of outrage on social media, where citizens and activists demand justice and criminal responsibility for those involved.

Silence from those responsible
As of the close of this report, neither Ramírez Zepeta nor Elsa Cobos have offered public statements about the incident. The silence from the Morena leadership has only increased social anger and repudiation.
The family of the deceased young man demands an urgent investigation, the identification of the responsible driver, and criminal sanctions, as well as an official statement from the party and its candidate.
The Veracruz State Attorney General's Office has not issued an official statement, nor has it been confirmed if the Suburban is registered in the name of the party or any official.
Attorney General's Office unresponsive
This incident, occurring in the midst of the electoral process, highlights the impunity and arrogance with which some political actors operate, even in the most marginalized areas of the country.
What was supposed to be a day of political enthusiasm for Morena ended up stained with blood, negligence, and silence. The case is already circulating as one of the most serious of the current electoral process, combining road irresponsibility, abandonment of a person, and political cover-up.
Justice is the least the family demands. The entire country must demand it too.
