Beginning of the Confrontation
Last Friday, March 14, 2025, the Juárez Fair in Nuevo León became the scene of a tragedy.
A brawl broke out at the entrance of the venue, allegedly when a group attempted to enter without paying. This triggered shoving and verbal aggression that quickly escalated to physical violence.
In addition to a future water crisis, fires, and poor air quality, insecurity continues to rise in Nuevo León. Meanwhile, the government makes a millionaire investment in advertising.
Fatal Outcome
Amid the chaos, a 20-year-old identified as Julián Alexis was stabbed with a kitchen knife. Despite the quick intervention of paramedics, who transported him to the Juárez General Hospital, he unfortunately lost his life at the hospital.

Panic Among Attendees
The unleashed violence caused a stampede among the fair attendees. Videos shared on social media show a crowd running in panic, trying to get to safety amid the confusion.
Authorities' Intervention
Local authorities replied to the incident, implementing operations to control the situation and ensure the safety of those present. It is unknown if there were any arrests related to the brawl and the homicide.
