Bettiana Díaz and Constanza Moreira will travel to Switzerland with public money

Vice President of the Republic Carolina Cosse authorized three Broad Front senators to attend the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, an organization that belongs to the UN, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. 

The ones who wanted to travel were three Broad Front senators: Bettiana Díaz, Constanza Moreira, and Felipe Carballo. 

This international committee is supposed to be for experts on the subject. Legislators from many countries who have expertise in the topic attend. 

However, it was decided to send three legislators who do not know absolutely anything about what will be addressed in that committee. 

This international trip to Switzerland looks more like a paid vacation with taxpayers' money than a work trip for the legislators. 

The costs

For the three senators, the Uruguayan Senate, with taxpayers' taxes, will spend 7,414 dollars on round-trip tickets to Geneva. 

In addition, the senators will enjoy a travel assistance insurance policy that costs 113 dollars.

Uruguayan taxpayers will pay in per diem to Bettiana Díaz 3,334 dollars and to Moreira and Carballo 3,890 dollars. All paid with people's taxes.

A totally useless trip

Neither Bettiana Díaz, nor Constanza Moreira, nor Felipe Carballo are qualified to attend this UN committee. 

In reality, this is a pleasure trip to a beautiful country such as Switzerland, which is paid with taxpayers' money. 

This is the political caste of the left, parasitic legislators who travel with everyone's money, squander taxpayers' money on useless trips, and live the high life with public money. 

Meanwhile, in Uruguay the Broad Front raises taxes, betraying its electoral promise not to increase them, and its legislators travel to the first world with all expenses paid. 

It is worth remembering that Constanza Moreira is a political scientist, which is why she is not qualified to attend this UN committee.

In the case of Bettiana Díaz, she barely finished secondary education and doesn't speak any foreign language.

Bettiana Díaz is one of the worst legislators in Parliament. It is enough to remember that in 2024, in a debate against former prosecutor Graciela Fossati on Channel 4, she defended the murders, torture, and kidnappings committed by the terrorist group Tupamaros.

Felipe Carballo only completed a few years of high school, and of course he doesn't know any languages either. However, they will be the Uruguayan representatives to an international UN committee.

An unnecessary waste, an insult to Uruguayan taxpayers who sacrifice to pay their taxes so that the legislators squander them in the worst possible way.
