Frente Amplio mocks people
They will repair the bridge at the entrances to Montevideo by the end of the year
On July 14, a key bridge for entering Montevideo was destroyed by an incompetent driver, because his truck exceeded the permitted height.
Despite the obvious urgency, the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP) only began repair work on August 22: almost five weeks after the accident.
However, the most serious issue is the government's recent announcement: the work will continue until mid-December.
Bureaucracy hinders development
Uruguay is one of the most expensive countries in the region, with income unimaginable for most Uruguayans. In this scenario, one would expect efficiency and prompt resolutions.

However, millions are not allocated to solving the crucial problems that taxpayers face, such as repairing a vital bridge for daily mobility.
Uruguay, you wouldn't understand
On the contrary, resources are squandered on hundreds of gender units, progressive public media, state advertising, festivals for friendly artists, and building lighting.
In Uruguay there is money to sustain the gigantic and useless state bureaucracy, even to expand it, but when resources are needed to make life easier for those who truly keep the country running, there is only a grotesque mockery of the taxpayer.
MPP and its revolution of simple things
Lucía Etcheverry, MTOP official, wanted to revolutionize transportation and she will achieve it: sixteen weeks to repair a bridge, yet another example of Frente Amplio's completely inverted priorities.
Meanwhile, thousands of workers will face daily delays until the end of the year, enduring constant traffic jams and the State trampling on their effort and personal time.
