Punta del Este, Maldonado, Uruguay – The Israelite Community of Punta del Este and Maldonado (CIPEMU) issued an official statement in which it expressed its deep joy at the recent release of hostages and the return to peace, a milestone it attributes to the valuable support of the United States government, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, to the effort and courage of the State of Israel, and to the backing of the vast majority of countries worldwide.

In its statement, CIPEMU emphasized that this historic moment reflects the aspiration shared by the entire community: the establishment of a solid and lasting peace. The organization underscored its hope that episodes of violence, terrorism, and armed conflict will remain in the past, allowing families to reunite in an environment of freedom and security.
