A firm based in Carrasco, led by an Iranian citizen, was singled out by the United States Department of the Treasury for its alleged involvement in a network that facilitates military supplies to the Tehran regime.
The United States Department of the Treasury has placed a Uruguayan company, Perfect Day Co., under scrutiny, suspecting it of collaborating with Iran's Ministry of Defense in the acquisition of sensitive components and technologies intended for its military program.
The investigation is being conducted by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), which included Perfect Day Co. within an international network of 21 companies distributed across several countries—including Germany, Türkiye, Portugal, and Iran—accused of facilitating the purchase of spare parts, missiles, and even a U.S.-origin helicopter for the armed forces of the Islamic regime.
According to the official statement, these companies collaborated with the Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO) and the Shahid Bakeri Industrial Group (SBIG), both responsible for solid-fuel ballistic missile programs.

Among the companies identified is Perfect Day Co., whose headquarters is located in the Carrasco neighborhood of Montevideo, and whose director is Iranian citizen Amirhossein Salimi, 54 years old, born in Tehran.

OFAC included Salimi and his company on the list of sanctioned entities under Executive Order 13382, which seeks to freeze assets and financially isolate those who contribute to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
The report details that the Uruguayan company sold or attempted to sell helicopter parts to Pasargad Helicopter Company (PHC), which in turn supplies the Iran Helicopter Support and Renewal Company (Panha), a key state entity in the Iranian military apparatus.
The document states that Salimi signed several invoices to PHC for helicopter parts valued at tens of thousands of dollars, in transactions that are believed to have been carried out from Uruguay to Europe and the Middle East.
