Two British children aged 12 and 13 were stabbed on Tuesday morning at Kingsbury High School, in the district of Brent, in northwest London, by another student, apparently a Muslim immigrant.
Both were taken to a hospital and, according to the Metropolitan Police, they are hospitalized. The case is being investigated by counterterrorism officers due to the circumstances of the attack, including the assailant's shout of "Allahu Akbar" during the incident, according to witnesses.
Emergency services went to the school during the morning, after receiving the alert that two students had been attacked with a bladed weapon inside the premises. The suspect, a 13-year-old student who was wearing the school uniform, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after leaving the scene. Subsequently, the police confirmed that a weapon linked to the incident was recovered.

According to Daniel Sandford, BBC Home Affairs correspondent, several witnesses reported hearing the striker utter words such as "Allahu Akbar", or similar, during the attack, an expression that means "God is the greatest" in Arabic.
Detective Superintendent Luke Williams stated that "due to the circumstances," the investigation was placed in the hands of counterterrorism officers. In the same vein, Detective Helen Flanagan, of London's Counter Terrorism Command, stated that the officers are conducting a "swift investigation" and are continuing to gather information to clarify what happened.

According to the information provided, the police are examining the suspect's electronic devices and reviewing dozens of witness statements in order to reconstruct the events accurately. It was also reported that some people may have been sprayed with a substance during the incident, although the authorities indicated that it is not believed to have been harmful.
The episode caused shock in the educational community and in the Brent neighborhood, while the authorities seek to determine whether there was an ideological motivation behind the attack or whether it was an "isolated incident".
